Your new company:

Our partner, who is a multinational Shared Service Center in Budapest providing IT area, is currently looking for an English plus German speaking L1 Buyer.

Your new role:
  • The purpose of the role is to deliver services on behalf of the GSM organization to provide the following Service:
    • Requisition process
      • Assist Buyers on special requests
      • Convert Requisition to PO
    • PO Management
      • Ensure POs are compliant with Global Buy Policy
      • Communicate urgent/unique PO requirements to appropriate Level II approvers
      • Issue resolution
      • Notify requestors and customer services when PO is out of money
    • PO Process
      • Approve Purchase Orders =< $10K equivalent
      • Expedite Purchase Orders and Acknowledgements
    • Maintain PO’s
      • Process Change Orders
      • Manual close out of Purchase Orders
    • Management
      • Invoice resolution assistance with CSS RTP AP when requested

  • Have a working knowledge of the Global Buying Policy, Procurement Polices, Finance Policies and Shared Services Policies and Procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end RTP process
  • Source approved ad hoc requisitions
  • Due diligence and follow through on all ad hoc Requisitions/Purchase Orders on PeopleSoft/SAP before approval
  • Submit vendor change forms for requests in Shared Services queue
  • Communicate urgent/unique PO requirements to Levels II approvers
  • Invoice resolution assistance with Accounts Payable when requested
  • Resolve any order acknowledgement exceptions received at CSS
  • Handle EEO (equal opportunity) supplier filings received at CSS
  • Assist Buyers on special requests
  • Review and process change orders according to procedure
  • Assist with cost reduction portfolio for CSS or the businesses
  • Facilitate expediting of emergency orders
  • Assist with process improvements in the Requisition to Pay Stream
  • Collaborates with GSM, CSS RTP Manager and appropriate Functional Groups to propose appropriate solutions to problems
  • Provides periodic and ad hoc reporting as specified by GSM and/or CSS RTP Manager


What you`ll need to succeed:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related degree
Required Language (there are 3 open positions which differ in the following language skills. One candidate has to have only one extra language next to English based on the following list)
  • German/English
  • French/English
  • Polish English
Required Years and Area of Experience:
  • 2+ years of RTP and/or Procurement related experience
  • Worked in or has an understanding of a Shared Services model
Required Skills:
  • Financial acumen and analysis
  • Working knowledge of functional processes for Requisition To Payment
  • Excellent decision-making skills; including the ability to make timely decisions that reflect a good mixture of analysis, experience, judgment, & prudence
  • Problem solving - strong analytical skills and logical/methodical thinker
  • Customer focus
Desired Skills:
  • Complex organization and large group experience
  • Shared Services or other process-intensive experience
  • Functional work experience (IT, GSM, Finance)
  • Familiarity with Performance Excellence tools and theory
  • PeopleSoft and/or SAP experience
